land MISSION
We are working to mitigate the impacts of oil sands operations on land and wildlife.
We’re focused on using the least amount of land required to support oil sands operations. We’re also focused on returning land to a boreal forest ecosystem, with an assortment of uplands, wetlands and lakes to maintain the diverse biodiversity in the oil sands region.
We bring together leading minds and experts from disciplines such as biology, ecology, hydrology and engineering to address land use issues in Alberta’s boreal forest. These issues are complex, so we are working on multiple solutions.
